Artist holding handmade ceramic vase full of wild roses.

Objet Aimée is a close translation to loved object in French and the studio name for a collection of handmade ceramics by Aimee McLaughlin.

Producing ceramics for both functional and decorative use, each piece is either thrown on a wheel or hand built, then decorated, glazed and fired in a kiln.

Every objet is an exploration of shape and color, past and present, time and temperature, love and heartbreak. Variations in size and appearance are expected and celebrated as part of the inherent beauty of handmade objects.

Aimee currently lives and works in Portland, Maine. She also takes pictures.
